La La Land
Manchester by the Sea
I Have watched three of the above Arrival, Hacksaw ridge and Hell or High Water Hacksaw Ridge is definitely a movie classic, and Arrival has a wonderful screenplay technique. While Hacksaw Ridge portrays the magic of hope, Arrival scores on the technique of its screenplay.
If you take off the screenplay Arrival is just another alien film The heroine acquires a power by which she can foresee future and change the past while she is in the present. The screenplay wonderfully transfers this power the audience! Really cool indeed.
Movie fanatics predicts that La La Land will win this year's Oscars!
In my opinion, Hacksaw Ridge deserves, but it is not necessary, it is even beyond such puny awards.
Arrival may be applauded for its unique screenplay technique. It remind me Memento by the legendary director Christopher Nolan.
